Promotion boards evaluate Cadets for promotion.
Eligible Cadets¶
Only Cadets with ranks: PV1 - CPL are displayed.
Board Process¶
Step 1¶
Select Cadets.
Step 2¶
Select graders.
Maximum: 3 Graders
Report Information¶
The report contains:
- Battalion logo
- Company
- Month and Year
- Candidate information
- Board rank attempt
- Board date
Evaluation Levels¶
Level 1 - Grading¶
Evaluations include:
- Performance
- Appearance
- Knowledge
Each grader scores the Cadet.
Knowledge Questions¶
Questions are randomly selected from a question bank.
Example: Question: How many Cadets are in a standard squad?: About 8 to 12
Promotion Requirement¶
Scores are totaled.
Example:
Required: 200 points Received: 180 points
Result: Failed promotion requirement.
Level 2 - Approval¶
Graders sign the board.
The Company Commander chooses:
- Promote
- Withhold
If withheld, comments are required.
